Funding at Be. Independent Day Nurseries

Understanding the funding options available for childcare in the UK can be complex. At Be. Independent Day Nurseries, we aim to provide clear information to help families navigate these options and access any financial support for which they may be eligible. Our nursery complies with UK funding laws and offers guidance to help you understand and benefit from these provisions.

Government Funded Childcare Hours

The UK Government offers funding for early years childcare, which can be applied to our nursery. Here’s a brief overview of the schemes available:

Universal 15 Hours Free Childcare

All families in England with 3 and 4-year-old children are entitled to 15 hours of free childcare per week during term time, for 38 weeks of the year. This funding is available regardless of your income level and is intended to support early education.

Extended 30 Hours Free Childcare

For families in England with 3 and 4-year-old children, where both parents (or the sole parent in a single-parent family) are working, there's an option to receive up to 30 hours of free childcare per week. Eligibility for this scheme depends on your employment status and income.

Free Childcare for 2-Year-Olds

Some 2-year-olds in England are also eligible for 15 hours of free childcare per week. This funding is typically available to families receiving certain forms of support, with additional needs, or under foster care.

Applying for Government Funding

To access these funding options, parents need to apply through the Childcare Choices website or the relevant local authority. Once you have confirmed your eligibility and received your code, please provide us with the details so we can apply the funding to your child’s nursery fees.

Preparing for the Future

The Journey to Independence

Our ultimate goal is to guide children towards independence—helping them to become self-motivated, confident, and resilient learners. By the time our children move on to primary school, they are not only academically prepared but also equipped with the life skills and values that will serve them for years to come.

At Be. Independent Day Nurseries, our approach is not just about education; it's about cultivating a space where children can truly 'be'—be themselves, be curious, and be part of a community that cherishes their individuality and independence.
